Dear TMSA Community,

I am thrilled to share some incredible news with all of you. We have recently received the final results of last week's International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Orlando, FL where 24 TMSA Triangle DECA Club members competed against the 22,000 high school students from around the world, and 9 participated in DECA's Emerging Leaders Academy.

Under the guidance of our exceptional DECA Advisor, Mrs. Erin McCloughan, our students' hard work and dedication paid off tremendously. They brought home a remarkable total of 9 medals and 2 glass trophies from this prestigious international competition.

What's even more remarkable is that as a school chapter, we have achieved an elite status by earning all 5 possible ribbons for completing campaign challenges throughout the competition year. With over 3,500 high school DECA chapters worldwide, we were one of only 11 schools to attain this highest level of member and community engagement. In fact, we are the sole school in North Carolina to achieve this distinction, showcasing our exceptional commitment to excellence.

Let us take a moment to recognize the outstanding achievements of our students:

  • Falisha Khokhar: Received the Top 15 Exam Score medal in Accounting Applications.
  • Neha Srinivasa: Awarded the Top 15 Role Play medal in Entrepreneurship.
  • Fariha Neikar: Achieved the Top 20 Overall Finalist medal in Retail Merchandising.
  • Rachel Hennessy: Recognized with the Top 15 Role Play medal and the Top 20 Overall Finalist medal in Principles of Hospitality and Tourism.
  • Ryan Singh: Secured the Top 10 Finalist medal and an extraordinary 2nd Place internationally, earning a prestigious glass trophy and $500 prize money sponsored by Knowledge Matters for the Virtual Business Challenge - Entrepreneurship.
  • Arjun Bhonsle, Sina Dehghani, and Sukru Gundogdu (team): Attained the Top 10 Finalist medal and an impressive 3rd Place internationally, along with a remarkable glass trophy and $250 prize money sponsored by Knowledge Matters for the Virtual Business Challenge - Entrepreneurship.

As a principal, I believe that such a great achievement can't be celebrated enough. The students' efforts were fantastic, and their commitment to excellence is inspiring. They have represented TMSA Triangle in the most positive light and shown that anything is achievable with hard work and dedication.

Congratulations once again to our TMSA Triangle DECA team!

Sincerely,

Principal Adam Alden
