Dear TMSA Community,
One of our own, Prahalad Srinivasan, a sophomore at TMSA, has become the Central Tar Heel Conference Singles Tennis Tournament Champion! In addition to this incredible achievement, Prahalad also placed in the top ten at the NC Science Olympiad last week, showcasing his remarkable success in both athletics and academics.
At TMSA, we pride ourselves on our whole-child focus, which emphasizes creating well-rounded individuals through rigorous academics, character education, social-emotional learning, ethics, and athletics. Prahalad's success in both athletics and science is a true example of our focus on developing our students' diverse interests and talents.
Our Athletic Department Head Mr. Childress shared that Prahalad dominated the tournament with one victory after another, finishing the season undefeated in singles play. Prahalad has now earned a top seed in the upcoming NCHSAA 1A East Regional, which will be held on May 5th and 6th at Herman Park in Goldsboro, NC.
In addition to Prahalad's achievement, TMSA's another top-ranked Science Olympian, Eric Wu will also compete in the singles bracket of the NCHSAA 1A East Regional. Furthermore, Harvik Kolla, who has been awarded full ride scholarship to NC State as a Park Scholar this year, and Alex Rhodes who will compete in the International History Olympiad in Rome this summer, have qualified for the NCHSAA 1A East Regional by reaching the semifinals of the CTHC doubles tournament.
We are incredibly proud of all our student-athletes for their exceptional achievements, and we wish them the best of luck in Goldsboro. They will be competing for a chance to advance to the State Championship, which will be held on May 12th and 13th at Cary Tennis Park.
Once again, congratulations to Prahalad, Eric, Harvik, Alex, and all our talented and hardworking students who continue to make us proud.
We are committed to fostering a culture of academic success and athletic prowess at TMSA, and these achievements are a true testament to our whole-child focus.
Sincerely,
Adam Alden
