The registration for MathCON First Round is now open for students in grades 4 through 12. MathCON is a prestigious math competition designed to ignite passion for mathematics and foster critical thinking skills.
You can take the First Round Test online until March 8th from the convenience of your home! Please remember to review the picture below which points you to where to find practice tests.

After getting test login credentials, you will get access to MathCON testing dashboard. Please do not click on the red button since it will start the real test "First Round Online Test." Take the practice tests first via green buttons at the bottom. Please see advisory picture below.

No Screenshots: Taking screenshots of any problems is not allowed.

Cell Phones: Cell phones cannot be used during the test.

Calculator Use: Any type of calculator is allowed (except cell phone calculators).

Skipping Questions: You can skip problems and return to them later.

Time Limit: You have 50 minutes to complete 32 problems.

Problem Categories:
Part A: 3 points each (8 problems)
Part B: 5 points each (16 problems)
Part C: 7 points each (8 problems)

Maximum Score: The maximum score for the online test is 300.

No Penalties: There are no penalties for incorrect answers. Answer as many problems as you can.

Randomized Order: The system will randomize the order of questions each time you open the test.

Answer Status: When you reopen the test, the questions you've answered will be marked green.

Technical Issues: If the website freezes:
Close the browser window (no answers will be lost as the system records your answers when you click “Next”).
Reopen the browser and log back in.
